JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFKï¿½s cross streets is named in his honor.
Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:

The Clinical Nurse Manager/Educator (CNM/E) is a Professional Nurse who will assist the Department Director in the 24-hour responsibility of the day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care for patients in the Medical/ Surgical/Telemetry Units. He/she manages human resources at the unit level in a cost-effective manner and provides direction in changing workloads during crisis and emergency situations. In addition, the CNM/E will work with the Department Director in developing, implementing, and/or evaluating appropriate education programs within the hospital and assigned departments; these programs are based on identified needs, quality initiatives, patient population, and educational requirements of the staff.
ï¿½Ensures regulatory compliance with Title 22, TJC, and CMS ï¿½Acts as a consultant on complex patient care ï¿½Monitors and reviews results of performance improvement projects and assists in the presentation to the staff ï¿½Ensures cost-effective use of resources ï¿½Assists nursing leadership in evaluating program offerings with an emphasis in medical/surgical/telemetry issues ï¿½Develops and implements hospital and community education programs as needed ï¿½Demonstrates teaching/leadership skills using creativity, integrity, initiative and communication ï¿½Demonstrates ability to use basic audiovisual skills ï¿½Assists in maintaining current accurate records of all classes, courses, and/or programs offered by the Education Department ï¿½Monitors the completion and updating of all competencies ï¿½Performs customer service related actions when in contact with patients and families ï¿½Assists in the management of staff, to include evaluations, performance management, and mentoring
QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Current RN Licenses 2.BSN or Bachelorï¿½s degree in related field; or, degree in progress 3.Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider 4.Current American Heart Association ACLS 5.Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience 6.Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience ï¿½preferred 7.Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills 8.Demonstrated ability to present self in a positive and professional manner 9.Basic computer skills
