The Swedish Structural Heart and Valve Program is seeking a structural heart interventional cardiologist. Its mission is to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients with structural heart disease, their families and caregivers, and their referring physicians through superior service, outcomes, quality, research, and efficiency. The program offers TAVR, percutaneous mitral valve repair (mitraclip), TMVR, tricuspid repair and replacement, pulmonic valve replacement, ACHD and HCM interventions, ASD / PFO / VSD closure, and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO, Watchman). This is a collaborative non-competitive team-based, patient-centered environment with a true heart team approach and members from cardiology, imaging, CT surgery, anesthesia, vascular surgery, cath lab, OR, and clinic as part of the team. There is an active research and education focus with 10+ structural heart trials and a fellowship program for 10+ years. There is a dedicated inpatient structural heart service with 3 APC dedicated to the structural heart program.
Provide high quality care for patients with all aspects of structural heart and valve disease
Lead special projects related to growth, development, improvement, and integration of the program
Participate and lead clinical research trials within structural heart
Train and mentor fellows in a dedicated structural heart disease fellowship program
Will also participate in coronary, shock, and PERT teams; Coronary CTO/peripheral vascular procedures will not be part of this position
MD/DO Degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic school
Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Interventional cardiology
Fellowship training in structural heart disease, with experience in practice for 3+ years performing high-level structural heart interventions
Enroller in cardiovascular research trials
Top-notch skills in communication, team dynamics, change management, and culture creation
