NORTON HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible electrophysiologist to join its expanding program. The ideal candidate will join a comprehensive outpatient Heart Rhythm Center supported by a dedicated team that includes seven board certified electrophysiologists, five advanced practice providers, two nurse navigators and 10 cardiac device specialists. The center offers a dedicated Atrial Fibrillation Clinic and remote device monitoring program, and will be part of a new cardiovascular multidisciplinary clinic space opening in 2024.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced catheter ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia and all aspects of clinical cardiac electrophysiology
Opportunity to work with a nationally accredited A-fib Center of Excellence in an A-fib clinic model
Access to state-of-the-art facilities, including four electrophysiology laboratories with new fluoroscopy equipment, electrophysiology recording systems, 3D mapping equipment, radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation equipment, intracardiac ultrasound and laser lead extraction
Supported by the Heart Rhythm Center remote monitoring team that provides paperless device follow-up for over 6,000 patients
Ability to practice inpatient and outpatient care with a work-life balance
Telecardiology services readily available
Competitive wRVU compensation model as well as quality bonus

On-call coverage split equally among the entire group regardless of tenure
First-call model where advanced practice providers screen all night calls except STEMI calls
